Mid-afternoon Giggles

I got an email a couple days after my last post on Oberlin Blogs. One of the professors who blogs there just wanted to let me know that, in a post about me being a copy editor, I had no fewer than four glaring typos. Ouch. Fortunately for me, he was kind enough to change them for me. Still, I've been walking around in a daze since then. Have a lost my touch? The other copy editor at The Grape quit, and who knows when I'll have broken in her replacement. I suppose our writers and editors could read and follow the very detailed style guide The Grape's copy editing staff spent hours producing, but I've seen nothing to indicate that this is a remotely likely possibility. After all, I've worked at The Grape since I was a freshman; this will be my fifth year on staff. And I've made the same corrections in the masthead--THE SAME CORRECTIONS--since I joined. All of this is a long way of saying that I hope my copy editing mojo hasn't left me.

Here's something to enjoy: Talk Like Warren Ellis. It will produce a random Warren Ellis-like greeting by sifting through and meshing his twitter posts together. Seriously hilarious.
