Here.
I'm heading to breakfast at Oberlin's excellent (and only) breakfast joint, Black River. I sincerely wish, however, that I were doing this at a later hour. I know, 9:00 AM isn't that early. But for someone still on Winter Term time, this may as well be 4:00. Since I'm up now, and making my way though a pot of coffee (which, by the by, will stave of Alzheimer's), I thought I'd get some early-morning blogging out of the way. But, because It's so friggin' early, let's stick with pithy one-liners, shall we?
(1) I'm with DemFromCT over at Daily Kos, "Boehner has to stop fixating on 'the size of the package.'"
(2a) I'm with Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson that Blago's hair is appalling, but, Mr. Robinson, it is not literally criminal, and that joke can't carry your whole damn column.
(2b) While on the subject of your column; it's true that what Blago did is probably more common than we'd like to think. But, just because it happens elsewhere doesn't mean he shouldn't get impeached.
(3) The Oberlin band, Like Bells just got signed to a pretty cool record label in Cleveland. It's seems, too, that my stock is going up, as I know two-thirds of the band, including the excellent Will Mason who played percussion on my recital.
Intrigued? Go, read (and listen).
What's on deck for today? Well, I'm going to be working (editing a number of seniors' cover letters and statements for jobs and internships). I'm also going to try to blog about (1) Krugman being an awesome dude (whom I met), (2) The Obamas being adorable (which is just the truth), and (3) other stuff that I probably won't get to. Should be fun.
